Fort Myers, FL, December 12, 2012 - Crystek Crystals announces the release of a 250 MHz - 1090 MHz SAW Clock Oscillator (in single frequency band), the CCSO-914X. Crystek designed the module using proprietary circuitry and SAW (surface acoustic wave) resonator technology to provide ultra-low jitter/phase noise performance with true sinewave output. The resulting oscillator (250 MHz variant) features -153 dBc/Hz phase noise at 10 kHz offset and a noise floor of -173 dBc/Hz.
The CCSO-914X-250.000 has been verified with Analog Devices' AD9467 - a 16-bit, monolithic, IF sampling analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The AD9467 operates at a 250 Msps conversion rate and is designed for wireless receivers, instrumentation, and test equipment that require a high dynamic range.
Crystek's CCSO-914X comes in a 9x14 mm SMT package. With 3.3 V and 5 V input voltage available, it generates a true-sinewave with +8 dBm min output power. The new CCSO has no sub-harmonics; second harmonic is -20 dBc typical. The CCSO-914X operates from -40°C to +85°C.
Applications include: analog-to-digital (A/D) converters, system clocks for network clock generators/synchronizers; clocks for DDS; test and measurement; avionics; point-to-point radios; and multi-point radios.
