Fort Myers, FL, February 2004 - Crystek Crystals Corporation has introduced a new line of high-performance Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs). The CVCO55BE-2974-3274 VCO will be offered in a 0.5" x 0.5" standard SMD package.
The CVCO55BE generates frequencies between 2.974 GHz and 3.274 GHz with a control voltage range of 0.5Vdc to 4.5Vdc. This VCO has Extremely Low Phase Noise performance of -70 dBc/Hz at 1 KHz offset, -98 dBc/Hz at 10 KHz offset, -120 dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset and -155 dBc/Hz at 10 MHz offset. Input supply voltage of 5 Vdc consuming 17mA of current is required.
The VCO exhibits an output power of 5±3 dBm into a 50Ù load. It offers extended temperature operating range of -40°C to +85°C, with exceptional linearity over frequency and temperature range. Second harmonic suppression is better than -20 dBc while supply pushing is 1.5 MHz/V max.
Crystek VCOs are ideal for use in applications such as digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, base stations, personal communications systems, portable radios, and test instruments.
