Fort Myers, FL, October 2004 - Crystek Crystals Corporation has released its smallest VCO (voltage controlled oscillator) package yet. The tiny CVCO25 oscillator family measures only 0.25 x 0.25 x 0.079 in. (6.35 x 6.35 x 2.0 mm) and provides excellent electrical performance. It generates frequencies from 100MHz to 1GHz in bands, with higher frequency capability presently in development at Crystek.
"Crystek's engineers were challenged with the task to develop a miniature VCO that would provide performance comparable to our much larger packages. It is our in-house EIA 0201 SMD placement equipment that enables us to build a cost effective solution that will satisfy our customers requirements for smaller VCOs," said Anthony Mastropole the President and CEO of Crystek Corporation.
Applications include digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, base stations, personal communications systems, portable radios and test instruments.
The CVCO25 was also designed with flexibility in mind to accommodate customization requirements in applications where board space is at a premium.
