Fort Myers, FL, September 2006 - Crystek Corporation has released its Model CVS575 - a 622.08MHz Voltage Controlled SAW Oscillator (VCSO) that is designed for high performance PLLs. It is an ideal choice for telecommunications application needing to meet low jitter generation requirements.
The lead-free, RoHS-compliant CVS575 is offered in a 5x7.5x2.5mm SMD package. Phase noise is excellent at -130 dBc/Hz @10KHz offset, which translates to 150 fS (RMS) max. jitter for SONET OC-192 (50KHz to 80MHz).
The CVS575 operates from -45 to +85°C from a +3.3V power supply; outputs are complementary LVPECL. Crystek designed the enable/disable function to be used with CMOS logic levels for ease of interfacing, eliminating the need to convert to LVPECL logic to turn the output on and off.
Applications for the CVS575 VCSO include frequency translation, clock smoothing (de-jittering), SONET/SDH/ATM Networks, OC-192, and test & measurement.
